Description
The town hall, a listed tufa masonry building with a timber roof, houses all the municipal offices. The detailed design completes the energy retrofit begun with the heating systems: internal envelope insulation, new high-performance timber windows, a 33.6 kWp photovoltaic system integrated in the roof and hidden from public view, solar thermal panels and new lighting.
The works include accessibility improvements with a steel-and-glass lift and an external ramp, new toilets, marble floors and green procurement criteria, in line with heritage authority opinions. The same professionals signed the building's developed refurbishment design in 2010.
